New Amsterdam Market

It was the last day of the year for the New Amsterdam Market. The weather didn't help for a happy farewell - a rather white day with freezing cold, some of the vendors didn't show up judging from the few empty tables. But I will congratulate those who showed up to offer samples and to sell their products. New Yorkers didn't fear the cold and were on duty to taste, drink and buy. I noticed a few new names, not present in the previous Sundays of the year like the Tempeh seller, Chef Michael Vignapiano, She Sells Seaweed and a few others that the cold doesn't allow me to recall.
Well done New Amsterdam market. We look forward to seeing you in 2010, hopefully in warmer days! Take a peak at the photos to sense the cold, the tasty and the brave!
